Photonics West 2009 is Coming Up
January 27-29, 2009
San Jose Convention Center, booth #1214
All of our representatives have technical backgrounds and years of experience in optics and photonics, so bring your drawings, ask us questions, or just come by to meet us in person. Or, call and schedule a meeting to discuss your requirements. We will be available during the exhibition hours, or we can visit your facility any day before or after the show.
Advanced Solid-State Photonics (ASSP)
PPC will also be exhibiting and offering an open house tour during the OSA Advanced Solid-State Photonics (ASSP) show at the Grand Hyatt here in Denver during February 2-4, 2009. Call us for details or register online for the special event on February 3rd at www.osa.org/meetings/topicalmeetings. Capacity is limited, so sign up now to ensure your reservation! |

High-energy AR Coatings with R <0.05%

In addition to a variety of off-the-shelf laser optics, Precision Photonics offers custom high-energy coating design and manufacturing from 266 nm to 2200 nm. We use ion-beam sputtering (IBS) technology because IBS is a repeatable process that can be precisely controlled, resulting in well-centered, highly efficient coatings such as the anti-reflection coating shown here with reflectance <0.05% at 1064 nm. In addition, low scatter and absorption losses of <2 ppm result in high damage thresholds of greater than 20 J/cm² at 1064 nm and almost 4 J/cm² at 266 nm. Call us or go online to www.precisionphotonics.com for more information and actual test data.
Round, Square & Rectangular Waveplates
PPC is now manufacturing multiple-order, true zero-order and compound zero-order waveplates with retardations of quarter-wave, half-wave or anything in-between. Waveplates are available using laser grade crystal quartz or sapphire materials and as stand-alone components, or as part of a more complex optical assembly. Typical specifications include retardation tolerance as low as λ/500, transmitted wavefronts of <λ/10, and 10-5 surface quality on parts ranging in size from 1x1 mm² to greater than 75 mm in diameter.
For compound zero-order waveplates and multi-element waveplate assemblies, we use IBS coatings and our patent-pending epoxy-free bonding technology—Chemically Activated Direct Bonding™ (CADB™). All of our waveplates and waveplate assemblies are adhesive free, making them suitable for high power applications with energy densities exceeding 20 J/cm² at 1064 nm.
